UUCF Mailing Lists

The Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship hosts a number of mailing lists. Here is some information about the two most active.

The Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship list: UUCF-L

Created March 1997, the Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship list has about 130 members who discuss theology, faith and its practice, current affairs, and Unitarian Universalist matters. It has an open membership.

The UUCF Ministers’ and Seminarians’ list: UUCF-MIN

Created October 1998, the Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship list has about 90 members. Its membership is limited

to Unitarian Universalist Christian ministers and seminarians, and its

content and membership is confidential, but is in many ways like UUCF-L.

Details

This list is for Unitarian Universalist Christian ministers (active and retired), seminarians and transfer candidates who are eligible for UUMA membership, and unfellowshipped ministers (or otherwisefellowshipped, as in federated churches) actively serving UUA member churches. Christian ministers of Unitarian or Universalist churches outside of North America are also welcome.
This list is confidential, and no reference to the discussion made onthe list, or members of the list should be made in other venues, except as required by law. This is to ensure a safe venue for allparticipants, whether their faith is public knowledge or not.\”Christian\” for the sake of list membership is self-defined.

There are no hard-and-fast rules of list decorum: decent mannersprevail. Please refrain from forwarding general interest notices tothe list, or large messages drawn from web sites; tell us the listaddress instead. Also send messages in plain text and not in HTML(hypertext markup language; \”web code\”).

  1. How do I join the list? Leave it?
  2. Because this list is closed to Unitarian Universalist Christian ministers, you will have to be formally added by one of the moderators. Once a member, you can visit www.uua.org/mailman/listinfo/uucf-min/ and ask to be subscribed.

  3. . Am I eligible to join the list?
  4. For the sake of confidentiality, collegiality, and proper focus, membership is reserved for Unitarian Universalist Christian ministers.
    Eligible persons are:

    a. Unitarian Universalist Christian ministers, active and retired

    b. Christian seminarians and transfer candidates who are eligible for UUMA membership

    c. Unfellowshipped Christian ministers (or otherwise fellowshipped, as in federated churches) actively serving UUA member churches.

\”Christian\”, for the purpose of this list, refers to the individual(and not the congregation served) and is self-defined.

  5. Why the emphasis on confidentiality?
