Support The UUCF Mission & Community

Jesus said: “The Kingdom of God is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who on finding one of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it” Matthew 13:45

Dear Friend of the UUCF:

I am grateful for the blessings God has bestowed on our Fellowship. For those of us who cherish an open, inclusive liberal faith that is deeply connected to Jesus of Nazareth, The UUCF has been a godsend, a lifeline, a pearl of great price! We have just finished our 60th year as a living witness and presence. We are so indebted to those who have supported us in many ways during these years and who have passed this mission on to us and our generation today to carry us forward.

Over the past few years our board has made a conscience decision to expand our witness and presence and programming. In addition to publishing two top notch publications, the Good News, edited by Rev. Kathleen Rolenz; and the UU Christian , edited by the Rev. Thomas Wintle; and maintaining an active presence at the General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association, we have:.

· Hired a half time Executive Director, Rev. Ron Robinson, who works more like 150% time! Ron has nurtured small groups from Massachusetts to California, organized and ministered to web groups, planned, directed and overseen all our activities, helped maintain our web site, represented us in denominational affairs, traveled internationally, and inspired us with his writings, sermons and boundless enthusiasm.

· Sponsored FIVE national Revival Conferences. Revival 5 occurred in November in Ft. Worth Texas. We prayed, studied, worshiped, sang and ate together for two and half days under the spirit filled leadership of Rev. Thomas Anastasi. Revival 6 will be at 4th Universalist Society in New York City November, 2-5, 2006. Make plans now.

· Had a regional Revival Conference in Charlottesville, Virginia in May of this year. Thanks to all the local folks that made this happen! We want to offer more of these in your area.

· Made contact with the 30 or so Christian Universalist Churches in the Philippines, sending a representative to their 50th annual conference and hosting their representative at our Revival conference, and plan on working more around the globe.

All this has been so exciting and fulfilling for so many of us! It is in this spirit that I humbly ask you to consider supporting the work of the Fellowship with a donation to this appeal. As you likely know, our work and our vision cannot be sustained on our membership fees and endowment income. A long time member has informed me of a decision to donate $2000 to this year’s appeal! I know we cannot all make such a generous gift, but I challenge you to consider making a donation in three of four or more figures to help this work and ministry. Please know that gifts of all size are treasured and appreciated. All the best,

Cecil E. Bohanon, UUCF President
